Overview
Skyland Trail is a nationally recognized nonprofit mental health treatment organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. With five campuses and more than 500 patients served annually, it offers a continuum of care—from residential treatment to outpatient services—while maintaining a whole‑person approach and a robust scholarship program that provides over $2 million in financial aid each year.
As the inaugural Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), you will report directly to the President and CEO and will be the senior‑most clinical leader, responsible for guiding multidisciplinary therapy teams and advancing the mission to help clients live meaningful lives with chronic mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for all clinical programs, overseeing approximately 50 professionals across campuses.
Design and implement innovative treatment protocols, optimize patient throughput, and standardize care delivery.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define clinical priorities, align service models with best practices, and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
Influence programmatic development, implement new clinical modalities, and shape the future of the organization during a period of growth and expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
Track record of progressive leadership in the mental health treatment space.
Experience building multidisciplinary clinical programs and advancing evidence‑based treatment models.
Commitment to driving successful growth and expansion, with strong clinical expertise.
Active, unrestricted clinical license in a relevant field (e.g., Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or equivalent).
Mission‑driven, collaborative, and relationship‑oriented with a passion for improving access, outcomes, and quality of life for patients and families.
