Responsibilities
Organize and administer nursing services on the Transitional Care Unit and Rehabilitation Services at Bayonne Medical Center.
Hold administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for nursing, PT, OT, SLP, and ancillary staff.
Ensure total needs of residents are met and keep the Administrator and Medical Director informed of nursing service activities.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Exposure to communicable diseases, blood and blood products, illness, confused and/or combative patients, hazardous chemicals, stressful situations, X-rays, sharp instruments and needles, and electricity.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, light lifting, and pushing carts.
Qualifications
Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: 2 years full-time experience in nursing supervision/administration and 1-year full-time experience in rehabilitation nursing.
Licensure & Certifications: Current license to practice professional nursing in NJ; IV Certification and CPR Certification as per hospital policy.
