Peri Anesthesia RN - Rockford, IL
AAC Midwest is expanding and has openings for Part-time Peri Anesthesia RN positions. As the Peri Anesthesia RN, you will be responsible for the pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care.
Work hours: Part-time, 3 days/week (PRN roles also available).
Work setting: Outpatient anesthesia - in the surgeon's office or within an ASC setting. Work location: Rockford and surrounding suburbs. You will be closely engaged with our Scheduling Coordinator during orientation and will travel to various sites.
Responsibilities Implement quality peri-anesthesia nursing care in cooperation with the anesthesiologist, following practice policies and procedures. Participate in continuing education programs and maintain patient care standards.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Active and unrestricted RN license in Illinois (or compact license eligible in Illinois).
Minimum of three years experience in critical care, emergency room, or PACU nursing; or two years experience in ER/ICU with a combination of ER, PACU or telemetry experience.
Background and experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS (required) and PALS (preferred).
Ability to conduct basic physical exams and initiate intravenous catheter placement.
