The Senior Director, Downstream Marketing, US Region, is a pivotal leadership role within the Pharmacy Automation business. Reporting to the VP, Global Downstream Marketing, this position leads the development and execution of the downstream marketing strategy for the US region, driving commercial growth, market differentiation, and digital transformation. The role is based in Durham, NC, 3 days per week. Key Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Regional Market Strategy

Craft and communicate a customer‑facing vision for Pharmacy Automation across all segments: Retail, Closed Door, Long Term Care Pharmacy, Health Systems, National Accounts, and the Department of Defense. Identify and prioritize growth opportunities and align priorities with regional healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. Ensure quality lead generation to drive commercial success for sales teams. Partner closely with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Customer Service. Go‑to‑Market Execution

Design and lead a holistic omnichannel marketing strategy that blends high‑quality lead generation with advanced technologies (AI, virtual and augmented reality). Plan, organize, and execute participation in industry trade shows and events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Lead product launches and oversee the full product lifecycle, ensuring sustained market relevance and profitability. Provide sales enablement tools, collateral, and resources to Sales and Commercial Operations. Portfolio Positioning and Differentiation

Define compelling value propositions addressing clinical, operational, and financial benefits. Create evidence‑based market segmentation for focused sales force activity. Maintain consistent messaging and differentiation in a competitive landscape. Execute the BD Pharmacy Automation brand strategy for Parata and Rowa and develop annual marketing plans aligned with strategic objectives and stakeholders. Support the US Regional Annual Strategic Review process. Pricing Execution & Promotions

Lead pricing strategy development and promotional activities to maximize commercial success and market differentiation. Validate launch pricing and campaigns to drive rapid adoption and profitability. Monitor pricing effectiveness and adjust for competitive landscape changes. Market Intelligence and Insights

Generate market insights on customer voice, competitive intelligence, and emerging trends. Translate insights into actionable strategies for product development and marketing execution. Disseminate market intelligence to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation. Team Leadership and Development

Build and mentor a high‑performing regional marketing team. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability. Act as a change agent driving the growth of the world’s largest Pharmacy Automation business. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Revenue growth across the Pharmacy Automation portfolio in the US. Marketing Qualified Lead creation and conversion to sales opportunities. Increased market share in strategic US segments. Timely product launches. Campaign ROI and cost‑per‑lead effectiveness. Enhanced customer engagement, satisfaction, and Net Promoter Score (NPS). Leadership effectiveness measured by team engagement and cross‑functional alignment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, science, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of product marketing experience, with capital equipment or healthcare technology experience strongly preferred. Proven record of successful commercial product launches. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Hands‑on experience with digital marketing campaign execution. Understanding of automation platforms highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment. Strategic acumen balancing high‑level planning and operational execution. Exceptional relationship‑building and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
