Job Summary Are you an enthusiastic security professional with an aptitude for the cloud? We're looking for a bright and aggressive Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this critical role, you'll help defend our cloud infrastructure and apps across top platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining effective security measures that keep our digital assets safe, compliant, and resilient to evolving threats. Key Responsibilities

Create safe cloud designs and configurations.

Monitor and respond to security incidents, alerts, and vulnerabilities.

Perform regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning to identify and mitigate issues.

Create, enforce, and audit security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (such as SOC2 and ISO 27001).

Automate security processes and incorporate security solutions into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.

Manage and optimize IAM controls, multi-factor authentication, and privileged access management for cloud platforms.

Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and IT teams to implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Investigate and recommend new security technologies, tools, and processes to maintain our cloud security posture.

Skills

Thorough understanding and hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); familiarity with multiple is a big advantage.

Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, vulnerability scanners, and cloud-based security solutions.

A thorough understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, firewalls, VPNs, and secure network designs.

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

Strong understanding of information security principles, threat modeling, risk management, data encryption, and incident response. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for explaining complicated security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving talents, as well as a thorough attention to detail.

Education and experience

Requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a similar technical subject, as well as 3-5 years of expertise in information security, including at least 2 years in cloud security.

Relevant cloud security qualifications are very desirable (for example, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer, and CCSP).

Annual Pay The anticipated yearly salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $160,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
