Oracle is looking for a Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer, Data Pipeline to join the OCI Business Operations Tooling development team. This role plays a key role in shaping operational excellence and advancing business outcomes within one of Oracle’s fastest‑growing cloud organizations.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to transform research code into production‑ready services and repeatable processes.
Configure and manage cloud resources within OCI (IAM policies, VCNs, access rules, logging, monitoring).
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for R and Python applications using OCI DevOps, Git‑based workflows, and Artifact Registry.
Containerize workloads using Docker, Build Service, or similar tools, ensuring reproducible and scalable deployment patterns.
Set up and manage static web hosting using OCI Object Storage, CDN, and DNS configuration.
Hands‑on cloud experience (preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but AWS/Azure/GCP acceptable with ability to ramp).
Take end‑to‑end ownership of the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced data pipelines and platforms, providing technical leadership from requirements gathering through to production delivery.
Architect, build, and optimize large‑scale, reliable, and secure data workflows on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), utilizing services such as OCI Data Flow, Data Integration, and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Lead the evaluation and adoption of new Oracle cloud‑native data technologies and tools, driving continuous improvement initiatives across data engineering processes.
Ensure compliance with Oracle’s global security, privacy, and data management policies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, contributing to a culture of learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
Prepare and present technical proposals, architecture reviews, and optimization recommendations to technical and business leadership.
Ability to turn business needs into working solutions.
Cross‑functional collaboration & knowledge sharing to support technical knowledge within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
5+ years of professional data engineering experience, with demonstrated success independently designing and delivering large‑scale data platforms in a cloud environment.
Advanced proficiency with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Integration tools.
Deep experience with data modeling, warehousing, ETL/ELT design patterns, and building production‑grade data solutions using Oracle products.
Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and best practices in a regulated enterprise context.
Outstanding analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with a proven track record of cross‑team collaboration.
Experience mentoring or providing technical oversight on data engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading migration projects or building greenfield data platforms on OCI.
Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Machine Learning, and DevOps practices for data workloads.
Professional Oracle certifications in cloud data management or related domains.
Salary and Benefits US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 - $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
