In this exciting role, you’ll be a key member of the Cloud Team at Protegrity! As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll contribute directly to engineering a variety of product lines within the Product Engineering organization, becoming an expert in the technologies your team uses while collaborating with other technical experts across the company.

We’re seeking technical professionals who can hit the ground running and thrive on exploring problem spaces while building solutions to real-world customer problems. This position is ideal for a creative, inquisitive individual who enjoys working within a close team, building technical solutions, and helping customers succeed.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates daily to enable progress toward team goals.

Architect and build serverless microservices in the cloud.

Architect and build software solutions in Java, Python, C++, and other modern languages.

Work with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand customer problems and build solutions for them.

Automate test cases, build processes, and installation packages using tools such as pytest, Jenkins, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

Write user-friendly documentation and technical documents using clear, concise language.

Participate in scrum ceremonies and processes, prioritizing team progress and flow.

Drive team performance by championing quality, goal attainment, and teammate wellness.

Conduct constructive code reviews for teammates, fostering growth for all.

Identify potential areas for improvement and contribute to the team’s goal of faster, more efficient delivery of value to our end users.

Qualifications

3-7 years post-bachelor’s degree experience as a software engineer.

Highly competent in verbal and written communication.

Mastery of computer science fundamentals.

Ability to amplify the abilities and skills of others.

Experience building and maintaining software products in Java, Python, C++ (or similar).

Knowledge and experience with one or more database systems, preferably structured (SQL).

Knowledge and experience deploying solutions to one or more modern public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Willingness to continue learning and re-learning new technologies and methods.

Comfortable with critical thinking and creative problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy and Security.

Knowledge and experience with modern CI/CD systems.

Experience working directly with customers to troubleshoot critical issues.
