The Director of Inside Sales will report to the Vice President of Global Sales and lead the Account Executive Team to develop new business, grow existing business, and support customer relationships. The role manages 4 direct reports (Inside Sales Managers) and ~30 indirect reports (Account Executives). The ideal candidate has a track record of building high-performing inside sales teams in a growing organization and will develop knowledge of HexArmor products, applications, and served industries. Proficiency in Salesforce.com and competence in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other tools are required. Location
Onsite at HexArmor Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan (640 Leffingwell Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI). Job Responsibilities
Manage, motivate, and lead a team of Account Executives and Inside Sales Managers to achieve sales goals. Review metrics to identify challenges/opportunities and celebrate successes. Optimize and monitor department metrics and KPIs with accurate and timely reporting to senior management. Play a critical role in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Account Executives and Inside Sales Managers. Utilize company sales tools and evaluate regularly to maximize use and effectiveness. Maximize employee efficiency and develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets and expectations. Collaborate with the Sales Trainer and Regional Sales Directors to define, plan, and meet joint sales targets with other departments. Provide sales and product training and performance coaching to the team and individuals. Assist in onboarding new department members and new to sales. Evaluate and improve inside sales processes by applying best practices and evolving as needed. Attend career fairs, networking events, and help build university relations to recruit top talent for summer intern programs and entry-level sales roles. Occasional participation in regional or national industry trade shows. Education Requirements
Sales certification or training preferred. Qualifications
5-10 years of sales experience required. 5+ years of managing and leading sales teams. Proven track record of success in a high-energy, results-driven sales culture. Excellent organizational skills. Business orientation with experience managing to revenue and efficiency targets. Data-oriented and metrics-focused mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Previous experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.com. Compensation
