What You’ll Do

Work as part of the Channel sales team to formulate and produce territory plans, account strategies, and sales plans, including engaging specialist resources for partner lead accounts.

Develop new opportunities within the assigned territory.

Anticipate technology trends and build positive relationships with external partners and internal departments.

Engage senior‑level IT leadership to qualify and understand key technical, financial, operational, and business issues.

Distill pre‑sales discovery into concise messages highlighting inefficiencies addressed by Commvault products.

Collaborate on the creation and presentation of business cases to all sponsors.

Demonstrate Commvault products through presentations, pilots, proof‑of‑concepts, etc.

Participate in QBRs and provide technical leadership.

Provide technical expertise and enablement support for channel and alliance partners.

Continuously develop technical and market expertise through training, certifications, and conferences.

Keep senior management and internal groups informed of key issues via Salesforce.com documentation.

Assist with product or process improvements and innovative solution formulation.

Who You Are

5+ years in software or storage industry; 3+ years in Partner/Channel pre‑sales sales engineering.

Strong experience delivering and supporting Enterprise/Commercial clients and/or territories.

Strong competitive knowledge and consultative selling skills.

Experience selling, architecting data management solutions (backup, recovery, migration, replication, compliance, SRM, etc.) and assisting with trials and proof‑of‑concepts.

Experience in a rapid‑growth environment with evolving priorities.

Ability to build specialist teams to support customers and sales cycles.

Knowledge of software licensing (cloud, perpetual, term, maintenance).

Proficiency with at least one major open systems OS, hypervisor, or cloud.

Experience with SAP, Oracle, Exchange, DB2, SharePoint, etc.

Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper‑convergence.

Ability to work in an organized, procedural manner with tools like Salesforce.com.

BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related preferred.

Experience with sales methodologies (MEDDIC, TAS, SPIN, Solution Selling, Challenger).

Success managing major accounts (Fortune 500‑1000).

Remote and autonomous working capability.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Compensation Base salary range: $93,500 – $182,850 USD.
