Job Overview The

Strategic Account Director

is responsible for developing and executing a strategic account plan to address client challenges and achieve business objectives. This role defines long‑term goals for assigned accounts, builds key customer relationships, identifies opportunities, and facilitates strategic discussions. The Director will lead industry seminars and roundtables, coordinate client participation in relevant events, and engage subject matter experts and vendor partners to design effective solutions. The position is accountable for delivering profitable revenue growth, expanding services, and ensuring overall account retention.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Thought Leadership : Serve as an industry subject matter expert by facilitating strategic planning discussions and participating in industry events.

Share and apply best practices with prospective customers and peer Account Directors.

Lead quarterly business reviews and annual strategy sessions with appropriate subject matter experts.

Research and Networking : Prepare insightful questions to uncover client challenges and opportunities for value‑added solutions.

Connect client requirements to industry trends and analyze financials to identify priorities.

Collaborate with the Digital Solutions Center to address portfolio gaps and achieve client outcomes.

Account Relationship Development : Identify key business owners and understand how their objectives align with overall account goals.

Deliver relevant content and updates to department heads on account activities.

Portfolio Expertise : Confidently articulate successful solution integrations; share best practices internally and externally through summaries and press releases; secure customer references and maintain relevant industry certifications.

Growth and Revenue : Achieve annual revenue and profit targets while driving long‑term growth; develop robust business plans, including 1‑year and 3–5‑year strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Industry‑specific certifications preferred.

5+ years of industry experience; leadership experience preferred.

5+ years of successful sales experience.

Experience working with executive leaders in Fortune 1000 companies.

Proven ability to grow services.
