Manage sales territory of national, regional and local multi-unit operators, ensuring customer needs are met and budgeted sales and gross profit objectives are achieved or exceeded. Regularly call on existing and potential customers per defined call frequency plan to meet/exceed needs and sales budgets. Develop short- and long-term strategies to call on high-potential accounts and manage time/resources to cover the entire sales territory. Use marketing and presentation material to assist in sales; develop and execute quarterly business plans with account-specific actions. Build long-term relationships by understanding customers’ business and proactively identifying needs; address objections openly and honestly. Coordinate with local brokers/manufacturer representatives to uncover sales opportunities. Follow through on commitments in a timely manner; align customer needs with Broadline’s services and advocate solutions that promote customers’ business strategies. Develop appropriate bids and menus for products to support customers’ business strategies; refer non-sales problems to Sales Managers or support teams as needed. Communicate customer information to distribution center customer service and merchandising; involve Sales Managers and management in appropriate meetings. Utilize Broadline’s information system, laptop and telephone to support the customer relationship and provide pricing recommendations. Travel to see customers at their locations and perform administrative management of the assigned customer base. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. 2 – 4 years of foodservice sales experience. Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel as required; meet company Motor Vehicle Report requirements. Compensation
$65K - $70k
