Senior AI Full-Stack Developer – IS&T Applications
Boston, MA – Full‑Time / Regular
Base Pay:
$125,000 – $135,000 per year
About the Role At Boston University, we are building a world‑class AI Engineering team to transform operations, drive innovation, and deliver cutting‑edge AI applications and agents. This senior position focuses on designing, developing, and testing AI applications and agents across the entire software development lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test secure, scalable, and user‑friendly AI applications and agents, including both front‑end interfaces and back‑end integrations.
Engineer prompts and optimize AI performance using modern frameworks such as LLMs, RAG, and embeddings.
Collaborate with data engineering, automation, IT infrastructure, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of tools and workflows.
Conduct rigorous testing, quality assurance, and maintain accuracy, reliability, and functional compliance of AI solutions.
Required Experience & Skills
8+ years of full‑stack AI development experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency with front‑end (React, Vue, Typescript) and back‑end (Python, Node.js, API design, databases) technologies.
Experience with AI frameworks, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and secure, scalable application development.
Knowledge of current AI developments (e.g., MCP, A2A) is desirable.
