The Director is responsible for leading high-priority integration and transformation projects for Beth Israel Lahey Health (“BILH”), its hospitals, and its clinical units. The Director is a member of BILH’s internal consulting team, which provides advisory and project management support to high-priority initiatives across both clinical and business domains. Potential project examples include: clinical program development, implementation of virtual care models, regulatory reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of the Integration Management Office, the Director manages multiple projects for priority efforts, overseeing the efforts of the project team and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget. The Director will collaborate with colleagues across BILH, including Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Strategy, and Legal, as well as operational and clinical leaders across the system’s hospitals and other entities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Understand and effectively convey integration and transformation priorities, creating frameworks to assess opportunities.

Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-priority initiatives, managing project scope and anticipating risks.

Oversee project management efforts of the team, developing structures, workplans, tools, and analyses; keep team and leadership updated.

Partner with Finance to develop financial models that evaluate initiative impact, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Facilitate project meetings, present recommendations, and communicate strategic information clearly in verbal, written, and visual formats.

Support regulatory reporting efforts, leading team members in data collection and synthesis.

Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across BILH, including internal departments and clinical leaders.

Support system and local training in project management and process improvement methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, public health, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.

10+ years of related experience in consulting, project management, process improvement, or healthcare management.

Solid understanding of healthcare operations.

Experience managing other team members.

Skills in developing trusted business relationships and stakeholder management at all levels.

Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization.

Strong ability to manipulate, synthesize, and present quantitative data.

Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge of project management and/or process improvement methodologies.

Superior skill in conveying strategic concepts clearly and concisely.

Advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a start-up culture characterized by creative problem-solving, open communication, and agility.

Pay Range: $140,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
