Software Engineer Base pay range: $130,000 – $150,000 per year.

About Perk Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is an intelligent platform for managing travel and spend. Built to remove repetitive manual tasks that impede meaningful work, our tools automate everything from travel bookings and expenses to invoice processing and more.

Role Overview As a Software Engineer on our US‑based Spend Engineering team, you will design, architect, and build product features for a travel‑related, web‑based platform.

Responsibilities

Develop product features in Python/Django and/or React.

Build and maintain integrations between our product and third‑party APIs.

Contribute to system architecture design, implementation, and testing.

Work in an Agile environment with a strong focus on well‑documented code, unit testing, and continuous integration.

Mentor, coach, and train colleagues as a domain expert.

Required Skills & Experience

Product‑engineer mindset; pragmatism and focus on simplicity, efficiency, and performance.

Significant experience building technically complex products in any web programming language.

Expert‑level skills in server‑side, client‑side, or full‑stack development.

Strong commitment to quality and testing.

Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks.

Experience with Node.js, S, Angular.

Background in FinTech, DevOps experience with the AWS suite.

Interest in building things; value contribution to open‑source projects.

Experience using AI coding tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and building AI‑powered product features with AWS, GCP, or OpenAI platforms.

How We Work Perk follows an IRL‑first model, collaborating in person three days per week. The role requires you to live within commuting distance of one of our hubs. We provide relocation support for certain positions.
