Overview
We are seeking a
Red Team Operator - Senior Level
to join our Delivery team. This position is REMOTE with one day onsite in Washington, DC. SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations, conducting research and assessments based on real-world threats, simulating adversaries, and delivering actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. SIXGEN is an Equal Opportunity/Veterans/Disabled Employer. Responsibilities
Lead and execute red team engagements, including all phases from planning to reporting. Develop, modify, and customize penetration testing and red teaming software frameworks (e.g., Cobalt Strike, Kali) to meet operational requirements. Independently conduct every phase of red team exercises with minimal supervision. Develop payloads to bypass EDR/AV and use in various phases of red team exercises. Mentor junior and mid-level operators on red team tradecraft and Advanced Knowledge Requirements. Deliver professional technical red team reports and briefings. Engage in cloud, multi-tenant, and single-tenant environments as part of engagements. Collaborate with program stakeholders to provide actionable findings and rapid solutions. Travel up to 10% as needed. Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen or eligible to obtain a clearance. Minimum 6 years direct, hands-on red team and/or government computer network exploitation/attack operations experience. Minimum 2 years leadership experience in red team and/or government CNE/attack operations (distinct from the above). Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with red team tooling and frameworks (Cobalt Strike, Kali, etc.). Minimum 2 years independently conducting all phases of a red team exercise without guidance. Minimum 2 years developing payloads to bypass security defenses. Minimum 2 years mentoring others on red team tradecraft. Minimum 2 years delivering technical red team reports and briefings. CRTO certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of start date). OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, GXPN, and/or GPEN preferred but not required. Experience in cloud environments (multi-tenant and single-tenant). Clearance: US Citizen, eligible to obtain a clearance. Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $145,000-$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Employer-paid short/long-term disability insurance and basic life/AD&D insurance. 401K with a 4% employer contribution. Flexible and remote work policies for most positions. PTO: three weeks plus one day per year of service up to four weeks annually; 11 paid holidays per calendar year. Location and Eligibility
