Head of Finance – High-Growth Consumer Brand (Hybrid)
Base pay range: $180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus We’ve been retained by a fast‑growing performance apparel brand in New York to identify a Head of Finance who can take full ownership of the finance function as the company enters a major expansion phase. This is a rare opportunity to step into the senior‑most internal finance role at a brand scaling rapidly across DTC, wholesale, and emerging retail channels. The company is forecasting ~$50 million in revenue this year with visibility to ~$75 million+ next year. With that trajectory comes a need to bring controllership fully in‑house, elevate financial discipline, and strengthen forecasting as they build a more sophisticated operational and financial backbone. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in environments where structure must be built, insights must shape decisions, and finance is central to the company’s ability to scale. Lead the transition from outsourced accounting to a fully in‑house controllership function Step into the senior‑most finance seat with direct influence on company‑wide decisions Blend hands‑on accounting leadership with meaningful involvement in FP&A and strategic finance Drive cash flow, cost accounting, inventory visibility, and forecasting across all revenue channels Play a key role in category expansion (including women’s), wholesale growth, and early retail initiatives Build the systems, controls, and financial processes that will support the company’s next stage of scale Natural progression into VP Finance / CFO‑level responsibility as the business grows Key Responsibilities:
Own all controllership and accounting functions; establish internal processes, controls, and reporting Oversee FP&A and strategic finance while partnering with the external finance firm for support Manage weekly cash flow, working capital, and inventory‑linked financial planning Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and margin optimization Provide financial leadership across ERP implementation, supply chain optimization, and channel expansion Develop scalable financial tools, systems, and procedures to support rapid growth What We’re Looking For:
CPA required Strong background in controllership, accounting, and financial operations within consumer products, apparel, beauty, or DTC Expertise in cost accounting and inventory finance Ability to operate hands‑on while also thinking strategically Experience building or maturing finance functions in high‑growth environments Clear communicator who can partner effectively across functions Equal Opportunity Statement:
