Director of Sales And Business Development The Director of Sales & Business Development is responsible for leading the sales strategy, execution, and growth initiatives across all retail channels in North America. This role oversees relationships with national and regional retail partners, specialty stores, and e-commerce accounts to achieve revenue, profit, and growth objectives for a brand recognized worldwide for best-in-class performance, quality, and reliability.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and data-driven sales leader with a deep understanding of premium consumer goods, retail environments, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer and partner experiences consistent with the company's brand values. Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of success at key retail partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive retail and channel sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives, brand positioning, and financial targets across North American markets.

Lead annual and quarterly sales planning, including forecasting, pricing, promotional strategies, and territory planning for all The Company’s product lines. Identify and develop new North American channels, accounts, and partnerships to drive market entry, revenue growth, and brand visibility.

Establish, grow, and maintain relationships with national retailers, specialty independent dealers, and e-commerce partners, serving as senior relationship owner for key accounts.

Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, incentive programs, and joint marketing initiatives to maximize profitability, brand activation, and long‑term account health.

Build and develop a high‑performing sales team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and clear goal‑setting tied to KPIs and incentive structures.

Analyze sales performance, market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity, using CRM, ERP, and analytics tools to inform strategic and tactical adjustments. Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Customer Service to align sales efforts with demand planning, inventory, and new product launches.

Ensure execution of merchandising standards, training programs, and retail excellence across all points of sale and channels, both in‑store and online.

Represent The Company at key customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows, and prepare and deliver executive‑level presentations and reports on sales performance and market opportunities.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

7+ years of progressive experience in sales management, with a strong background in retail sales for premium consumer durables or home appliances and multi‑channel distribution.

Strong knowledge of sales analytics, CRM, and ERP systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).

Superior negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally as needed.

Physical Requirements Office environment; prolonged periods of sitting at a desk/ working on a computer; able to lift 30 lbs at all times.
