Qcells North America . The Business Planning Assistant Manager is responsible for developing B2B sales strategies for solar systems in the residential market and performing sales support. As a No.1 PV panel manufacturer in the U.S. residential market, this position will focus on sales strategies for PV panels, MLPE (AC module), and ESS products, establishing long‑term solutions for residential customers while managing revenue and day‑to‑day operational data mining to forecast P&L accurately. Robust analytical ability and an understanding of the sales flow and customer journey are crucial. The role reports to the Senior Manager, System Business Planning or a designated member of senior leadership and is based in the San Francisco or Irvine office with an in‑office schedule set at the manager’s discretion. Remote options may be considered for exceptional cases.

Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Sales planning of AC Module and ESS

Monitor business progress on MLPE (AC module) and ESS sales weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.

Manage Sales Dashboard and support to establish sales strategies by region and customer based on data analysis.

Product inventory/logistics management and sales support checklist management.

Analyze sales forecast and share forecasts with SCM, Operation, and Corporate planning teams.

Partner with SCM/Operation team to track order status and sales numbers.

Analyze sales pricing strategy, based on cost structures and profitability analysis and competitor pricing.

Receive management feedback and produce various key decision‑making reports.

Understand the solar financial market and collaborate with internal Qcells stakeholders (EnFin Loan team, EnFin TPO team, Axia, B2B Sales team) to develop ACM and ESS sales strategy.

Partner with Marketing and Technical teams to develop sales strategy.

Sales team KPI setting.

P&L management

MLPE/ESS business profitability analysis and sales price management support.

P&L management of system business.

Analysis of cost structures and identification of cost‑reduction opportunities.

Assist in establishing short‑term, mid‑to‑long‑term business plans.

Market Intelligence & Market trend analysis

Market trend analysis focused on solar PV, inverter, and ESS hardware.

Build product differentiation points through analysis of major competitors.

Research other market trends and new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance preferred.

3+ years of experience in Sales Administration, Sales Operations, Data Analysis, or Product Marketing within the energy or manufacturing sectors.

Experience in sales planning within the global solar/energy industry or manufacturing industry preferred.

Experience in sales, marketing, business development, or product management.

Experience in developing company‑wide business plans.

Experience in ROI analysis and business modeling.

Experience analyzing and proposing customer requirements (RFQ, RFI).

Knowledge in electricity, energy or related majors preferred.

English/Korean negotiation and communication skills preferred.

Proactive, team‑oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and precision.

Self‑motivated, innovative strategic thinker with accountability.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and data analysis/visualization tools.

Occasional travel within the U.S. to visit customers and exhibitions.
