What You'll Do Lead the continuing evolution of CoreWeave’s global GPU server fleet. This is your chance to reimagine how supercomputing infrastructure is managed as we 10x our global scale, applying automation and AI to turn complexity into possibility. The Fleet Reliability Operations team sits at the heart of CoreWeave’s growth. Every day, this team battles the forces of entropy across an ever growing fleet, ensuring our customers have the compute they need to push the boundaries of AI.
As Senior Director of Fleet Operations, you’ll architect for scale, build for resilience, and operationalize for speed, leading the next leap in how we provision and manage servers across our highest tiers of supercomputing clusters. You’ll be technically embedded, automation‑obsessed, and driven by the pursuit of elegant, lean, and reliable systems that redefine what’s possible in cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow a high‑performing management team operating globally
Develop and drive the Fleet Operations roadmap, prioritizing automation, resilience, and scale
Collaborate cross‑functionally with hardware, platform, network, data center and vendor teams
Champion operational excellence, high‑signal metrics and blameless incident response
Drive automation‑first strategy — prioritizing innovation over toil
Cultivate a team culture of reliability, mentorship and continuous improvement
Inspire a team of industry‑leading operations engineers through thoughtful and robust hiring, onboarding and performance management practices
Who You Are
10+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, development, SRE or DevOps
5+ years in leadership roles managing mission‑critical global production environments
Deep technical understanding of data center operations, fleet provisioning, lifecycle management, and observability tooling
Builder of resilient engineering teams and systems with 24/7 incident and reliability responsibilities
Fluent in automation workflows, monitoring solutions, and scalable fleet management systems
Effective communicator and collaborator who can align complex, cross‑functional teams
Process‑oriented and pragmatic; able to document, simplify and scale without calcifying
Preferred
Experience managing global fleets of GPU or HPC dense compute infrastructure
Technical background in architecture and/or development of infrastructure management platforms and workflows
Prior roles owning uptime, incident response, or reliability engineering in hyperscale environments

Benefits The base salary range for this role is $212,000 to $311,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
