We’re experiencing rapid growth out of our San Clemente, California headquarters and need sophisticated demand planning capabilities to balance growth ambitions with operational excellence.

Mission

As our Demand Planner, you will be the architect of forecast accuracy, bridging sales aspirations with operational realities. You’ll transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling Sonance to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize costs, and exceed customer service objectives while supporting our aggressive growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Forecasting & Analytics

– Develop and refine statistical forecasting models, analyze seasonality, trends, and market dynamics, continuously enhance accuracy through model optimization and machine learning, and build scenario planning capabilities. Cross‑Functional Leadership

– Serve as the bridge between Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain; lead S&OP processes; partner with Sales to capture pipeline opportunities; collaborate with Product and Marketing to quantify new launches and promotions; align forecasts with capacity and inventory planning. Inventory Excellence

– Determine optimal safety stock strategies, mitigate risks of slow‑moving and obsolete inventory, minimize stockouts while preventing excess inventory, and ensure product availability for critical customer needs. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

– Design and maintain dashboards and reports tracking forecast accuracy and KPIs; present insights to senior leadership; lead root cause analysis on forecast variances; champion Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.

Success Metrics

Forecast accuracy above 85% at SKU level. Reduce inventory obsolescence by 20% within first year. Improve customer fill rates to 98%+. Establish robust S&OP process with full stakeholder engagement. Deliver measurable working capital improvements.

Work Environment

This is an on‑site position located at our San Clemente, California facility. Remote work is not available for this role.

Requirements

Education

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Experience

– Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain with specific focus on demand planning or related analytical roles; proven track record of improving forecast accuracy in high‑growth or complex environments; experience with S&OP processes and cross‑functional collaboration; demonstrated success in managing demand for consumer electronics or similar industries preferred. Technical Expertise

– Advanced proficiency in demand planning software (SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Blue Yonder, or similar); expert‑level Excel, ERP systems, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI); knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and machine learning applications. Core Competencies

– Superior quantitative and analytical capabilities; strong problem‑solving skills; ability to synthesize and translate complex data into actionable business insights; excellent verbal and written communication; proven ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Experience in audio, consumer electronics, or luxury goods industries. Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics. Familiarity with AI/ML applications in demand planning.

Compensation

Salary: $90,000‑110,000 USD per year.
