Job Duties and Responsibilities
Managing budgets, financial plans, and controlling expenditure
Maintaining statistical and financial records
Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff
Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
Appropriately responding to and resolving guest concerns
Addressing problems and troubleshooting
Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
Preserving hotel asset by supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings
Maintaining relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers
Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and associates
Maintaining appropriate inspections of the property as identified by the organization and brand
Ensuring the property meets brand guidelines and expectations for service and all standards
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Performing various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
Education and Experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to lead a team
Excellent attention to detail
Financial savvy
Proficient with Microsoft Office
