Job Summary Starting Salary: $19.14 - $24.40
Job Description PUBLIC WORKS: Performs limited supervisory and semi‑skilled manual work involving the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, roadways, drainage, and utility lines and systems; cleaning of buildings and other public facilities; and landscaping and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and rights‑of‑way. Employees assigned to this classification perform a variety of tasks involving above‑average physical effort and operation of power tools and equipment requiring some manipulative skills. Work is assigned and carried out according to oral and written instructions, usually from a crew leader or a field supervisor, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, meetings, and review of work orders to ensure quality and timeliness.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED; two (2) years of experience in assigned area; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Florida Restricted Pesticide License may be required, depending on assignment. Florida Driver's License, Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and home telephone number may be required, depending on assignment.

Degree Equivalency
Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
