Production Specialist / AFD & Aeronautical Production Support Specialist (U) Staffing Requirement:
This work requires staff to perform foundational airfield analysis. Staff must have basic knowledge in foundational airfield analysis, mission familiarity, demonstrated ability to operate in a high-tempo environment, be adaptable and team-oriented, be committed to delivering timely and accurate GEOINT, and exhibit professionalism.
AFD Program Duties, Skills, & Requirements (U) Duties:
Contractors are required to support NGA's Airfield Foundation Data (AFD) program by extracting specific airfield feature data in accordance with NGA data and product specifications within NGA defined areas around AFD collections. Activities involve data acquisition, data evaluation, data analysis, data entry, data application, quality control/assurance and product finishing database scripting, quality control/assurance and product finishing.
Basic knowledge and understanding of airfield infrastructures such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC tower, and hangars, to create AFD products.
1-3 years of feature collection (points, lines, and areas), feature validation and finishing.
The ability to understand, update, and draft technical documentation in support of mission progression.
Understanding of basic geospatial principles such as coordinate systems (horizontal and vertical), elevation models, and accuracy values.
Demonstrated knowledge of imagery, products, processes, and sensors.
Knowledge of and experience with understanding, reading, and writing XML.
(U) Service Constraints:
SFA uses an internal AFD rubric for credential qualification and Analysts are required to earn an FAA credential for Airfield Foundation Data. Once FAA qualified in the primary AFD role the expectation is for the contractor to work to become FAA certified in VO. Credentials will be maintained through successful completion of recurring proficiency training and will be withdrawn when assigned to another position or upon termination of the contract. Additionally, this work can be challenging due to the aeronautical production tempo and strict quality standards.
VO Program Duties, Skills, & Requirements Production Specialist Vertical Obstruction & Aeronautical Production Support Specialist - Middle

Staff must have experience in vector collection, mission familiarity, demonstrated ability to operate in a high-tempo environment, be adaptable and team-oriented, be committed to delivering timely and accurate GEOINT, and exhibit professionalism.
