Position Purpose The SVP, Treasurer provides finance advisory services to senior management and the business units, maintaining the firm’s liquidity, optimizing its capital base, coordinating its relationships with rating agencies, lenders and creditors, managing the firm’s interest rate exposure, and maintaining access to financing.

Position Responsibilities

Develops and executes investment portfolio strategies that balance yield, duration, liquidity, and risk tolerances, ensuring results that meet or exceed performance benchmarks while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and policy requirements

Oversees Management and Board ALCO, delivering clear, decision‑ready analysis, scenario modeling, and documentation to drive effective asset/liability strategy, interest‑rate risk management, and policy adherence

Collaborates with the broader finance organization to design, implement, and maintain capital management policies and procedures; supports evaluation and execution of capital actions including dividends, repurchases, and capital structure optimization

Implements hedging and capital markets transactions that support the Bank’s asset/liability and capital management strategies. This responsibility includes providing leadership, oversight and intellectual guidance for the mortgage hedge program

Oversees development of pricing analytics, models, and reporting to support disciplined, data‑driven consumer and commercial loan and deposit pricing across the enterprise

Conducts financial and liquidity analysis and partners with the CFO to evaluate strategic initiatives, optimize cash deployment, and strengthen the company’s liquidity and funding position

Understands and discusses key financial information with business partners (both external and internal)

Mentors, develops, and builds talent within the Treasury group, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s leadership expectations

Manages performance of the team and conducts performance reviews within the processes of the Bank

Participates in and leads select corporate development activities, providing financial analysis, strategic input, and transaction support as needed

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics, or Accounting – related MBA, CFA, FRM or CPA preferred

10+ years of experience in Commercial Banking is required

Treasury or CFO experience within a bank and investment management experience is required

Understanding of banking regulations/rules is required

Technical Knowledge And Skills

Comprehensive banking industry expertise, including deep understanding of balance sheet structure, capital and liquidity management, interest rate risk, and fixed‑income securities

Strong understanding of stress testing, credit risk, financial risk, operations risk and their processes

Strong working knowledge of data management and statistics

Must be knowledgeable of OCC and SEC regulations pertaining to bank processes with expertise in at least one of the following: Treasury, ALCO, Funds Management, Investments, Capital Stress Testing

Previous managerial/leadership experience

Ability to communicate complex treasury, liquidity, and market‑risk concepts clearly and effectively to executive management, the Board, and cross‑functional partners

Strong understanding of internal‑control design and best practices for a modern Treasury function within a regulated financial institution

In‑depth understanding of economics, financial markets, and banking fundamentals with the ability to connect macroeconomic trends to balance sheet strategy

Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated application to decision‑making

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong project management skills

High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Effective public presentation skills, with experience presenting to ALCO, executive leadership, and Boards

Experience designing, documenting, and operationalizing corporate processes across Treasury, Credit, Finance, or Accounting functions

Proficiency with Bloomberg and Yield Book, with the ability to interpret market data, model securities, and support investment and hedging decisions

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $165,000 - $240,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.

Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
