The Regional Sales Manager, Boston will prospect and close sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy. They will have strong management and coaching skills to support the learning and development of the sales team.

Responsibilities

Analyze market trends, identify new markets and opportunities, and create plans to capitalize on them.

Develop, implement and maintain a sales strategy plan with GM/RVP to achieve revenue targets and grow market share. The plan is to include specific targets, a city-specific sales strategy tailored to local market dynamics as well as focus on high-value verticals that align with Carey’s core strengths.

Recommend creative approaches to meet goals established for assigned market segments.

Coordinate with the marketing team and RVP/GM to create effective local advertising strategies to support the sales strategy plan.

Be a brand ambassador. Educate the customer on the Carey brand, our services, history and capabilities.

Conduct sales calls and maintain a strong working relationship with key decision-makers with corporate accounts, assigned travel agencies, meeting & event planners, hotels and private aviation companies.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the local client base.

Communicate all customer concerns, spending trends and opportunities to the RVP/GM.

Train and onboard new clients. Continue to be a point of contact for all client issues and expeditiously resolve them with the RVP/GM.

Pays close attention to competitors’ activities, compiles and analyzes competitive information, and prepares summary reports with recommended action plans as appropriate.

Attend sales conferences and conventions in local markets as well as any networking events that align with Carey services.

Join MPI, travel associations and similar organizations in the local market.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales experience in a business services environment managing at least $3 million of revenue.

Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and securing accounts.

Required Skills

Must demonstrate strong understanding of content strategy, engagement, and analytics across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Established network with the corporate sector, travel industry, and events industry.

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to influence senior decision-makers and navigate complex sales cycles.

Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with an ability to develop actionable plans.

Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.

Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Willing and able to travel as needed.

A self-starter with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Strong relationship management skills, with a passion for client service.
