Responsibilities
Design HVAC systems, investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of HVAC engineering issues.
Develop integrated HVAC systems in collaboration with others, including Control room HVAC, Laboratory HVAC, and Chilled water system design.
Provide support in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed design phases of all aspects of facility engineering work.
Perform design calculations and develop detailed system designs.
Prepare technical specifications for HVAC equipment and engineering studies.
Assist senior engineers with reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements, and present findings and recommendations to clients and peers.
Familiarity with ASHRAE and current HVAC industry codes and standards.
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-approved program is required.
10+ years of HVAC system and chilled water system design experience for commercial, laboratory, and industrial facilities.
Proficiency in TRACE 700 (or equivalent), 3D+, AutoCAD, and MicroStation; ability to create design flow diagrams, P&IDs.
Prior knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to HVAC and ventilation systems.
Preparing HVAC studies and coordinating detailed design phases.
Valued But Not Required
ASHRAE membership.
PE license (preferred).
Work Arrangement This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and requires in-office work 3 days per week.
Compensation Range $116,620.00 - $179,890.00
