Vice President of Maintenance
to provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of all maintenance operations across our distribution centers and facilities infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of maintenance excellence for one of the world's largest furniture manufacturers and retailers.
As VP of Maintenance, you'll lead enterprise-wide initiatives that optimize asset performance, minimize downtime, and drive operational excellence across all business units. You'll manage substantial budgets, lead high-performing teams, and implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance equipment reliability and extend asset lifecycles.
About the Opportunity What You'll Accomplish Strategic Impact
Develop and execute the enterprise-wide maintenance vision and long-term roadmap aligned with organizational growth initiatives
Lead digital transformation through CMMS/EAM systems, predictive maintenance, IoT solutions, and AI applications
Drive strategic capital planning for equipment replacement, facility upgrades, and technology investments
Manage multi-million dollar operating and capital budgets while achieving industry-leading cost benchmarks
Operational Excellence
Oversee all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across distribution centers and facilities
Implement world-class reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives targeting 95%+ equipment availability
Achieve 90%+ preventive maintenance compliance and shift resource allocation to 80% planned/20% reactive work
Direct maintenance operations for powered industrial vehicles (PIVs), material handling equipment, conveyors, AS/RS systems, and building infrastructure
Leadership & Culture
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing maintenance leadership teams across all locations
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety excellence, and operational discipline
Drive talent development programs including technical training, leadership development, and succession planning
Champion safety initiatives achieving zero lost-time accidents and industry-leading OSHA recordable rates
What You Bring Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related technical field
15+ years
of progressive leadership experience in maintenance, reliability, or facilities management
10+ years
managing multi-site maintenance operations across diverse asset types
Proven track record managing large-scale operations with
100+ employees
and
multi-million dollar budgets
Experience managing powered industrial vehicle (PIV) fleets and material handling equipment
Expertise with building automation systems, HVAC, and facilities infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering or MBA
5+ years
in senior executive or VP-level maintenance leadership
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, and/or transportation industries
Certifications:
CMRP, CRL, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
