Job Description Temporary position about 15 weeks.
Project Planning & Management
Manage the entire project lifecycle, leading planning, execution, monitoring, from pre-construction to closeout.
Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, set timelines, and allocate resources efficiently.
Coordinate project tasks, including design reviews, permitting, procurement, and scheduling.
Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including military construction standards where applicable.
Budget & Financial Management
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and project profitability.
Track project costs, forecast future financial needs, and report on financial performance.
Prepare and present regular budget and progress reports to senior management and clients.
Align financial performance with project objectives and maintain profitability.
Risk Management & Quality Control
Implement and maintain strict quality control processes to ensure project standards are met.
Ensure safety protocols are followed in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
Identify and assess potential risks to project timelines, budget, and quality.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company safety policies.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, and government officials to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct regular site meetings to track progress and address any concerns or issues.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead project teams (architects, engineers, subcontractors) ensuring collaboration and accountability.
Manage and coordinate team activities and provide leadership and direction to project staff.
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to all construction laws, building codes, and regulations including federal requirements for military bases.
Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and labor standards.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, including FAR and DFARS for federal projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in construction (commercial, residential, government, including military).
Experience managing federal government contracts and military installations.
Experience with local, state, and federal permitting and regulatory processes.
Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
Preferred Certifications
PMP (Project Management Professional)
LEED AP
OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Certification
Working Conditions
Frequent travel to construction sites, including federal facilities and military bases.
Exposure to construction noise, machinery, and weather conditions typical of outdoor projects.
