Financial Controller

They are seeking a versatile and energetic professional to join the leadership team and contribute to establishing the organization as a recognized player in the surfacing and architectural materials industry.
The company is looking for an experienced
Financial Controller
responsible for all aspects of financial control and business accounting, including financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other core finance functions. They need a professional with strong leadership capability and exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting and financial integrity across the business.
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and includes controllership and accounting oversight for an affiliated sales and marketing entity.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a controllership or accounting role within a commercial enterprise. You will also collaborate with the executive team on strategic matters such as corporate funding, tax strategy, and growth financing.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with the established reporting schedule
Manage core business finance functions, including invoicing, receivables, vendor payments, payroll, inventory, and banking relationships
Develop annual budgets and periodic forecast updates
Manage the general ledger and perform routine maintenance; conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
Create and document business and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
Evaluate and implement financial management systems to support growth and operational complexity
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare reconciliation summaries
Ensure payroll activities comply with all related laws and tax requirements
Oversee all local, state, and federal tax compliance
Manage all inter-company transactions
Required Qualifications
English and Mandarin Chinese language skills (spoken and written)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years of combined controllership, accounting (managerial or tax), or business finance experience
Proficiency with QuickBooks Pro
Experience preparing financial statements and managing general ledger functions
Experience with period-end and year-end closing
Strong understanding of tax codes and compliance
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, start‑up environment; adaptable and flexible
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CMA certification
Master’s degree in Accounting
Experience implementing ERP systems
Experience working in a multinational commercial organization
