In This Role, You Will
Source, attract, and recruit qualified candidates and manage all stages of the recruiting process for the following teams:
Business Operations
Business Development
Nuclear Supply Chain
Government Affairs
Regulatory Operations
Partner with the Technical Recruiter to support technical and project‑based recruiting processes as necessary.
Develop a strong understanding of the mission while learning how to effectively pitch the team and opportunity, ultimately closing exceptional technical talent for the organization.
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop job descriptions, track requisitions, and build effective hiring strategies.
Recruit qualified candidates to support Zeno’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Review resumes and assess candidate qualifications, technical skills, and functional competencies.
Conduct screening and behavioral interviews to evaluate candidate alignment with Zeno’s mission and culture.
Collaborate closely with Zeno’s leadership team to understand organizational goals and workforce planning needs.
Partner with the Recruiting Coordinator to ensure an excellent candidate experience and a smooth interview process.
Track and analyze recruiting metrics to monitor pipeline health, hiring timelines, and overall process efficiency.
Develop and execute outreach strategies, leveraging job boards, professional networks, and partnerships with universities and industry organizations.
Represent Zeno Power at career fairs, networking events, and other external engagements to strengthen our employer brand.
Key Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred
5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in the aerospace, defense and/or nuclear industries
Experience working for a federal government contractor strongly preferred
Experience conducting interviews and background checks
Deep knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment
Experience with Confluence and Jira preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization
Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver a high‑quality candidate experience
Collaborative mindset and ability to partner effectively across teams and time zones
Job Functions
Position requires in‑office presence in Washington, D.C. (Mt. Vernon/Chinatown) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, remote work optional on Mondays and Fridays.
Travel required.
Motor abilities: sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands).
Physical exertion: minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 15 pounds.
Repetitive work: prolonged.
Special senses: visual and audio focused work.
Work conditions: stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hrs./day.
Compensation And Benefits The anticipated salary band for this position is
$80,000 – $130,000 . The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.
