The Global Tax Director will manage Tax Operations & Planning for Envu at the global level. With a global footprint, our business provides opportunities for continuous growth and new challenges. This role will manage Global tax planning and operational tax requirements of Envu covering 30+ countries, partnering with global finance teams and external advisors. Operational responsibilities include transfer pricing and margin testing, along with governance over income tax compliance, tax accounting, and related controls. Tax Planning includes modeling and strategy for US & international tax, local non-US income tax, OECD Pillar 2, etc., in concert with external advisors.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
Leadership:
Lead Global tax planning, direct tax operations, transfer pricing, and US income tax provision and related controls. In addition, the role is expected to welcome contributions and foster collaboration from across the global CFO function and build strong working relationships with finance teams around the world.
Business Advisor:
Develop a strong understanding of the company; develop relationships with key contacts and stakeholders (internal/external) to ensure a coordinated approach for impacts driven by changes to tax law or the business.
Global Tax Planning, M&A Activity, Strategy & Forecasts:
Responsible for all tax considerations related to business transactions and tax planning, this role will need to leverage expertise from throughout the global tax team and external third-party advisors. This requires the ability to ensure collaborative input and guidance from subject matter experts covering many elements of global taxes (e.g., tax accounting, direct taxes, pillar 2, state, transfer pricing, customs/duties, etc.). Lead tax planning initiatives, in concert with tax advisors, through analysis of financials and organization structures; and forecasting future tax obligations as well as implementing tax‑efficient strategies.
Technical Resource:
This role is expected to have demonstrated experience in global tax planning, cross‑border tax issues, and statutory requirements of US and international. For all other countries, using a network of advisors, the role must monitor proposed and newly enacted legislation, regulations, rulings, and court cases which may impact the global tax position of the Company.
Tax Operations:
Responsible for the completion of annual inputs related to income tax, return to provision true ups, and tax positions required for tax provision reporting under IFRS. Responsible for governance of all US and non-US income tax filings, inquiries, and audits. The regional accounting team will review local statutory accounts and income tax returns to ensure global planning transactions are reported correctly. Transfer pricing responsibilities include documentation, review of operational transfer pricing results, and planning to adjust pricing to align with global transfer pricing requirements.
In addition to your contributions to the Global Tax Planning & Operations team, you will grow your subject matter expertise across tax through research and analysis for our ever‑evolving business.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?
Main requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting, finance or related field
Master’s in taxation or accounting, preferred
CPA certification, required
15+ years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience in tax, including progressive experience in tax roles . 5+ years of functional leadership within the tax organization of a global company or similar experience leading global tax engagements in a public accounting environment.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to champion and implement process improvements.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex income tax concepts / requirements into actionable strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
Strong communication skills with ability to interact with effectively with external stakeholders, global finance teams, and senior management throughout the organization.
Results‑oriented, technically‑curious, and values effective collaboration.
High level of integrity and a commitment to upholding professional standards.
