Dovetail Therapeutics is seeking a talented and motivated Senior/Principal Scientist to join our growing and dynamic team. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to discovery and optimization efforts for antibody candidates
Work with internal cross-functional teams and CROs to design and advance novel biotherapeutics
Develop and implement innovative strategies and methodologies to accelerate antibody discovery and engineering workflows
Analyze and effectively communicate ideas and findings to internal stakeholders
Knowledge and Skills
Expertise in antibody and protein science, molecular biology, and biotherapeutic discovery
Hands‑on experience in therapeutic protein and antibody engineering, particularly with optimization of molecular properties, affinity maturation, and/or antibody humanization
Proven ability in applying state‑of‑the‑art antibody engineering approaches and computational tools to shape design strategy and optimize workflows
Skilled in sequence analysis and structural modeling for protein design
Ability to synthesize functional and biophysical data and integrate high‑throughput datasets to guide selection and engineering strategies
Stay current on emerging trends in protein design and introduce innovative techniques to expand team capabilities
Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related field
5+ years of experience in antibody discovery and protein engineering in an academic or industry setting; 2+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment
