About The Role Touchstone Climbing is looking for a design‑forward, detail‑oriented creative to join our Marketing Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, seeks a high level of creative ownership and autonomy, loves bringing ideas to life through design, and enjoys supporting social media across YouTube and Instagram. In this role, you’ll bring ideas to life across gyms, social platforms, merchandise, beer labels, internal communications, and large‑scale community events—seeing your work through from concept to execution.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who communicates clearly, works well across departments, and is excited to be involved in many facets of marketing. This is a design‑heavy role—confidence with Adobe Creative Suite and a strong visual eye are essential. You will be part of the Marketing Team working with over 17 gyms across Northern & Southern CA alongside other departments, so flexibility and communication skills are also key. Key Responsibilities Design & Visual Communication
Design marketing and promotional assets including posters, flyers, banners, email graphics, digital ads
Create retail and merchandise concepts (shirts, stickers, signage, packaging)
Support Touchstone Brewing with beer labels, taproom signage, and merch
Develop internal assets for HR, training, staff communications, and templates
Develop external assets in collaboration with community outreach and partnerships
Maintain brand consistency while evolving visual identity across departments and gyms
Storytelling, Presentations, & Information Design
Design internal and external decks for leadership, partnerships, community programs, and campaigns
Translate complex ideas, programs, and data into clear visual narratives, layouts, and infographics
Create brand storytelling across print, digital, and social platforms
DEI, Culture, & Community‑Focused Marketing
Support inclusive and representative creative marketing across all gyms and regions
Design accessible, welcoming gym signage that reflects diverse communities
Assess marketing and design trends to help develop strategies that attract a broad, diverse, and inclusive membership base
Collaborate with Community, DEI, HR, Partnerships, and Gym Managers on culture‑forward campaigns
Create visuals that highlight community partnerships, accessibility initiatives, and environmental stewardship efforts
Social Media & Digital Marketing Support
Design & post campaigns, announcements, and brand storytelling across the main Touchstone Instagram and individual gym accounts
Test & manage social media marketing strategies that create engagement online, including managing social advertising
Monitor messages, tags, and community engagement
Reshare partner, athlete, and community content
Assist with YouTube and Linktree organization
Marketing Operations & Creative Support
Upload and organize photography in Flickr and shared Google Drives
Assist with marketing asset requests, mailings, and internal communications
Support merchandise, retail, and event‑related creative needs
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in graphic design, communication design, or visual storytelling
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Experience with branding, marketing assets, and presentation design; strong visual storytelling and information design skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Clear, collaborative communicator comfortable working via Slack and in person
Must provide a strong portfolio demonstrating branding and communication design
Bonus Points Experience with motion graphics, data visualization, or helping define or evolve a brand.
