What to Expect
Tesla is looking for an Electrician to join the factory operations team in Fremont, CA. The electrical operations team is responsible for maintaining state of the art power distribution systems to support factory infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. This position is full time, on-site.
What You'll Do
Support commissioning engineer throughout project life cycle (pre-design, design, construction, and start-up phase) to ensure electrical system functions are in accordance with the design intent and plant operation requirement
Lead new installation inspection prior to equipment start-up and ensure installation meets National Electrical Code, state and local building code, and Tesla standards
Produce as-built drawings markups for delivery to the design team for record drawing preparation
Install, terminates, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical equipment, components and raceway utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and components
Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment
What You'll Bring
Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
Completion of electrician apprenticeship program
Knowledge in lock-out tag-out and isolating electrical hazards
Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480VAC
Working knowledge in using hand tools, multi-meters, and testing equipment
Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics and single line diagrams
Ability to: work in high elevation up to 80 ft. and to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel

Expected Compensation
$32.00 - $48.27/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
