Structural Engineer – Entry Level – Spring 2026
Moffatt & Nichol is a leading U.S.-based global infrastructure advisor specializing in the planning and design of facilities that shape and serve coastlines, harbors, rivers and transportation systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures
Perform finite element static and dynamic structural modelling of structures
Assist Senior Engineers with the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
Prepare design calculations and check calculations
Coordinate plan details with engineers and drafting technicians
Participate in inspection and rehabilitation of structures
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis (1–4 years of experience, including internship)
Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (0–3 years of experience, including internship)
EIT registration preferred
Experience with MicroStation, Revit, or Civil 3D
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Availability and willingness to travel
All new hires will be required to successfully complete a pre‑employment background check in compliance with NIST 800‑171
