Director of Operations

on behalf of a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing organization. This is an exceptional direct-hire opportunity to lead high-impact operational functions across manufacturing, supply‑chain, and quality in a mission‑critical role supporting the company’s expansion. About the Role The Director of Operations will oversee all daily operations across manufacturing, materials, inventory/logistics, and quality assurance functions. This leader will play a pivotal role in strengthening production efficiency, scaling internal systems, driving continuous improvement, and preparing the organization for AS9100 certification and ERP implementation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role provides the opportunity to shape operational excellence, develop a high‑performing team, and directly influence the company’s next stage of growth. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and develop the manufacturing, materials, inventory/logistics, and quality teams Oversee day‑to‑day operations ensuring on‑time delivery, production quality, and workflow optimization Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives across operational functions Strengthen supply‑chain performance through vendor management, capacity planning, and scheduling improvements Oversee quality management system efforts, including preparation for AS9100 certification Manage operational compliance, safety, and FAA‑related manufacturing requirements Partner with leadership on ERP implementation and process‑standardization efforts What You Bring Leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing or complex manufacturing environments Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing or supply chain Proficiency with ERP systems; ERP implementation experience strongly preferred Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification Strong operational problem‑solving skills with a continuous‑improvement mindset Ability to coach, mentor, and develop cross‑functional teams Experience supporting quality, compliance, and structured manufacturing processes Perks & Benefits Salary range: $160,000 – $180,000 (depending on experience) Full‑time onsite schedule with business‑hours flexibility Parking provided All necessary equipment provided Opportunity to lead mission‑critical aerospace operations during a major growth phase About the Organization This aerospace manufacturing organization is experiencing accelerated growth and is expanding its operational capabilities to support increased production, supply‑chain maturity, and quality‑system development.
