Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioner Supervisor
We're looking to hire an HVAC Supervisor to join our hard‑working Maintenance and Operations Division (MOD) team serving Eastern State Hospital and Lakeland Village. This position is a working supervisor that directs staff skilled HVAC journeyman in construction, maintenance and repair of HVAC plant machinery and building systems. Maintains building automation system for building energy management. Order required materials, tools and supplies. Schedules work and conduct performance and safety training plans.
Responsibilities
Administrate the HVAC Building Management System computers and networks
Ensure the proper operation of four different system-operating platforms
Repair code application and make code changes to meet hospital requirements and enhance performance
Manage server and database; run system backups
Set up and monitor reports, activity logs, error logs, and alarm logs for end-users and train system users
Program HVAC system controllers via computer, perform software upgrades
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
Plan, organize, and direct the work of HVAC Technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of steam distribution systems, chilled water, heating water, air conditioning units, pneumatic/low voltage, and computer-controlled HVAC systems
Plan and coordinate work on systems with the hospital and vendors
Stay up to date on TJC, CMS, Fire Marshall, and local AHJ required compliances.
Manage HVAC shop PMs.
Qualifications Professionals with journey-level standing as refrigeration mechanic or steamfitter as attested by:
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in refrigeration or steamfitter trades and 2 years of journey-level experience as an HVAC Technician.
Full journey-level status in Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and 2 years of journey-level experience as an HVAC Technician.
Six years of applicable experience in performing work in refrigeration or steamfitter trade or a combination of the two. Vocational or trade school training as a steamfitter or refrigeration mechanic will substitute, year for year, for work experience up to a maximum of 2 years.
Completion of a recognized program for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and 2 years of journey-level experience as an HVAC Technician.
