Recruiting Manager | Accounting, Finance, and HR - San Diego/Orange County, Houston/Dallas, Seattle, & Fully Remote
Sayva Solutions is partnering with a large publicly held company on an exciting opportunity for a Director of SEC Reporting. This person will play a key role in managing the preparation and filing of periodic financial reports, including 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings. This individual will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial statements, disclosures, and other key financial metrics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience with SEC reporting, and a keen understanding of corporate governance and tax compliance.
Base pay range $170,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
Salary:
$170k to $185k+ base + annual bonus + equity and comprehensive benefits package.
Work Location and Schedule:
Hybrid schedule in San Diego is highly preferred; remote will be considered with the ability to travel monthly to San Diego.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & SEC Filings : Manage the preparation of periodic financial reports (10-Q, 10-K) and ensure timely, accurate filing with the SEC.
Collaborate with Functional Teams : Work with functional owners to gather necessary financial statements, disclosures, and MD&A information.
Tax Compliance & Filings : Oversee income tax provisions and filings, including state, foreign income tax, and payroll tax compliance.
Equity Compensation Accounting : Manage equity compensation accounting, including analyses and related filings.
Corporate Governance : Assist in corporate governance matters related to beneficial ownership changes and related filings (Forms 3/4).
Internal Controls : Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX 404 standards.
Audit Support : Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors, particularly with upcoming 10-Q and 10-K filings.
Candidate Qualifications
Strong SEC Reporting: Proven experience with 10-Q, 10-K filings, and other SEC compliance.
Technical Accounting Expertise: Extensive knowledge of tax provisions, equity compensation, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
Experience in Public Companies: Significant experience working within public companies, particularly in technical accounting and SEC reporting.
Problem-Solving & Automation: Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions to streamline accounting processes.
Life Sciences or Technical Industry Experience (optional): Previous experience in a life sciences or other complex, technical accounting environment preferred.
External Audit Experience: Hands‑on experience working with external auditors during audits and quarterly reviews preferred.
Broad Exposure Across Tax & Governance: Experience across various functions, including tax, equity compensation, internal controls, and corporate governance preferred.
Strong ability to think strategically and improve efficiency within accounting and SEC reporting functions.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to the executive team.
High level of attention to detail and a proactive mindset focused on solving problems and driving improvements.
