Base pay range $104,550.00/yr – $185,525.00/yr

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.

Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.

Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial, examinations under oath, and defend by trial or dispositive hearing on all assigned matters.

Qualifications

2‑6+ years of litigation experience related to insurance/defense, personal injury, or similar fields.

Juris Doctor degree required.

Admission to the Texas Bar required.

License in good standing to practice law in Texas and meet all Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.

Must be able to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings, and conferences.

Must document files clearly, concisely, and professionally for customers, co‑workers, and other employees.

Must follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts, manage priorities, and multi‑task effectively.

Must learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.

Preferred Qualifications

Civil litigation experience.

Insurance defense‑related litigation experience.

Professional communication skills in person, via telephone, and written correspondence/email.

Location – REMOTE Geographic location: Austin, TX (remote but commutable to the office).

Annual Salary $104,550.00 – $185,525.00 per year. This range is a general guideline; the final salary will consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market factors.
