Job Description
As a
Sr Export Compliance Officer
here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company operates within the boundaries of export laws and regulations while maintaining a strong culture of compliance. In this role, you will impact the company's adherence to import and export controls, customs compliance, and international trade transactions, minimizing risk and cost to the corporation while maintaining alignment with import and export standards.
Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and communicate training
Track training metrics and training completions through online systems
Develop and share communications sent by the function
Support audits, transaction testing, and metrics gathering
Provide guidance on export regulations
Communicate clearly with business and functional personnel on export‑related matters
Qualifications
Minimum of one year export compliance experience
1 year of experience working for a multinational company or a U.S. defense contractor
Due to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status under asylum or refugee
Ability to train others
Knowledge of ITAR and/or EAR
Experience with export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Strong writing skills
Experience drafting presentations, procedures, forms, reports, contracts, agreements, or licenses
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to present to small and large groups with participants from various levels
Proactive, well‑organized, highly motivated
Ability to work independently once tasks are assigned
Aptitude for compliance
Experience with audits
Experience working in a compliance‑related role, especially one involving export compliance, is a plus
Experience with MS Office
Experience with developing or using digital tools
