Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
Process all accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding and compliance with internal policies.
Review and enter invoices into the financial system to route for appropriate approval.
Serve as a backup reviewer for employee expense reports, confirming adequate documentation and verifying that submissions comply with the organization’s travel and expense policies.
Prepare and issue payments to all payees.
Communicate with vendors and internal staff to resolve inquiries related to payables.
Set up new suppliers in the system, ensuring receipt and verification of all required tax forms and banking details.
Analyze accounts receivable and accounts payable general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of outstanding items.
General Accounting
Maintain and track fixed asset activity and ensure accurate monthly depreciation entries.
Analyze additional general ledger accounts and reconcile variances with subsidiary ledgers as part of the month‑close process.
Prepare deposits for all incoming checks and ensure accurate recording in the financial system.
Assist with monthly close activities.
Prepare annual Form 1099s for applicable disbursements.
Process and track directors’ fees (including deferred amounts) and maintain related schedules.
Assist in identifying taxable fringe benefits.
Post daily general ledger entries, clear suspense accounts, and publish the daily statement of condition.
Complete daily cash reconciliations.
Participate in testing new financial system functionality and support related projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred or relevant work experience
1+ year experience in accounts payable is expected
Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word
Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative work environment
Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills a must
Workday experience a plus
