The Role The Observatory Ambassador will be a dynamic, interactive role within View Boston with a specific focus on the guest experience and how the guest relates to the View Boston experience. This position will play an integral role in providing local area, United States, and International guests with a unique, memorable experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greeting guests as they enter assigned areas.

Ensuring safety of guests while on tour or in assigned areas.

Provide a high level of customer service by engaging guests, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a great experience.

Retain learned knowledge and offer help to guests by providing operational (Observatory layout, experience locations) answers to all inquiries.

Effectively operate Observatory elevators and provide efficient direction for all attraction guests.

Scan attraction tickets and direct guests to proper queue.

Follow direction and be a team player.

Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to engage guests in a busy, interactive environment.

Present information concisely, legibly, and with a commanding presence.

Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job-specific training.

Perform other duties as necessary or required by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a comparable company.

Skills and Abilities

High level of professionalism and customer service.

Ability to memorize historical and technical information.

Multilingual or sign language capabilities a plus.

Entrepreneurial spirit, energetic and outgoing personality with a creative, proactive approach to work.

Ability to lift up to 20–30 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and work extended hours.

Ability to work non‑traditional hours (Nights, Weekends & Holidays) as necessary.
