Senior AI/ML Architect, Applied Field Engineering
Snowflake empowers enterprises to achieve their full potential. As a member of our Sales Engineering organization, you will provide hands‑on expertise and support to technical decision makers and data scientists in designing and architecting AI solutions built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical expert in customer engagements, positioning Snowflake's AI and ML features and value to stakeholders across the Americas.
Partner with account teams and customer champions to scope and drive successful POCs, including executive readouts and business value cases.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence Snowflake’s AI and ML roadmaps based on customer feedback.
Publish content that scales team and company efforts, such as blog posts, conference presentations, notebooks, and demos.
Influence, tailor and maintain Sales Engineering AI and ML selling assets, including customer presentations, demonstrations, and stories.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud.
Deep knowledge of generative AI techniques such as RAG, few‑shot learning, prompt engineering, or fine‑tuning applied to enterprise use cases.
Expertise in Python and common ML packages (LangChain, pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch) and data engineering tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark).
Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields preferred, or equivalent experience.
Bonus Points
Experience with LLM ecosystem tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other OSS packages.
Understanding of large‑scale IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
1+ years of practical Snowflake experience.
Knowledge of large‑scale database technologies (Snowflake, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum).
Benefits Eligible for commission and equity plans. Base salary range $165,000 – $216,562, with total on‑target earnings $220,000 – $288,750.
