Your Team’s Impact FactSet is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative Global Tax Team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing the Company’s federal and state income tax returns and contributing to the consolidated tax provision process. The individual will work closely with the team on tax research, policy development, modeling, strengthening internal controls, and assisting in tax audits.
What You’ll Do
Prepare the U.S. federal income tax return (Form 1120) and supporting schedules
Calculate and submit quarterly federal and state estimated income tax payments
Assist with state and local tax compliance, including preparing apportionment workpapers and state tax returns
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year‑end tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, as well as quarterly tax entries, reconciliations, and related tax disclosures
Support the analysis of uncertain tax positions and valuation allowance and supporting memorandums
Demonstrate proficiency in tax law through ongoing research and the practical application of tax knowledge in daily tasks
Collect and organize documentation for audits, strategize audit responses, and participate in audit closures
Aid the implementation, maintenance, and automation of systems used in the income tax provision process to continually improve tax functions
Required Skills & Qualifications
B.S. degree in Accounting required
CPA and/or MST highly preferred
1–3 years of corporate tax experience in a public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department for public companies
Working knowledge of ASC 740 as it relates to multinational corporations
Working knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax law
Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision and Income Tax Software
Ability to multitask, work independently, and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment
Strong technical tax accounting skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

The budgeted salary range for this position in the state of Connecticut is $90,000 – $105,000.
