Position Summary The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing corporate and partnership tax compliance, preparing tax provisions, and supporting REIT-related analysis. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across a highly engaged tax team that includes Income Tax, Sales & Use, and Property Tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Prepare corporate and partnership taxable income projections
Coordinate the preparation of Federal and State tax filings with third‑party tax providers
Review third‑party prepared tax returns to ensure timely compliance with Federal, State, and Local tax laws
Tax Provision & Analysis
Prepare and analyze quarterly U.S. income tax provisions under ASC 740
Prepare and review deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, return‑to‑provision reconciliations, and valuation allowances
REIT Compliance
Conduct quarterly and annual REIT analysis, including Assets Tests, Income Tests, Distribution Tests, and related checklists
Audit & Regulatory Support
Respond to tax authority audits, inquiries, and notices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
CPA designation or active CPA candidacy (preferred)
Strong proficiency in Excel and general computer applications
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
4+ years of experience in corporate tax, tax provisions, or REIT compliance
Familiarity with ASC 740 and deferred tax calculations
Compensation $85,000 - $95,000 + 10% annual bonus opportunity
