Location Hybrid within the Washington Trust Bank footprint of WA, ID and OR. Regular, reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

Provides SBA education and resources to Relationship Managers on an ongoing basis through group presentations, one‑on‑one consultations, reference and marketing materials, and an intranet site.

Implements client‑specific SBA communication plans to maintain excellent client relationships and identify client needs.

Markets SBA products/services to identified clients/referrals at the direction of department managers, including preparation for joint client meetings and follow‑up.

Generates eligibility determinations, structures transactions, and solicits requisite application documents for SBA loans.

Assists Relationship Managers by selecting and implementing SBA lending programs appropriate to the client’s needs.

Works with Relationship Managers to ensure an integrated and seamless approach to client servicing.

Participates in client relationship planning as it relates to SBA lending.

Manages SBA loan projects as needed by Relationship Managers.

Keeps abreast of new products, methods, industry trends, and changes in laws and regulatory policies.

Ensures an effective working relationship with other Bank personnel to perform client support and sales functions.

Takes a leadership role in community affairs and activities for effective business development and community exposure.

Maintains proficiency regarding current Bank and Divisional policies and procedures.

Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

5+ years of dedicated SBA experience, including proven competence with large, complex SBA loan projects.

Knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures and government regulations surrounding SBA lending.

Thorough understanding of SBA policies and structure, product knowledge, and financial analysis.

Complete working knowledge of government, conventional, custom, and self‑employed borrower loans; preferred experience with SBA loan programs.

Proven analytical skills for reviewing and interpreting complex data (risk determination, account complexity assessment, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze, synthesize, and articulate complex ideas to colleagues, team members, and clients.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, conflict management, and negotiation to build relationships with diverse clients.

High degree of PC‑based technical skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite.

Ability to function efficiently and effectively with multiple requests and projects under deadlines and stress while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Interpersonal skills necessary to gather data from multiple sources and positively represent the Bank during such contacts.

Comprehension of investor, insurer, regulatory, and Bank requirements, and ability to develop a subjective analysis of the borrower.

Compensation Base salary range:

$64,279 - $96,419

(Eastern, Washington and Idaho). Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, and performance. Eligible for an applicable incentive plan.

Western, Washington area:

$89,991 - $134,987
