Core Responsibilities
Setup and execution of test methods for Test Method Validation or Design Verification.
Report writing and approval.
Custom sample and/or fixture development.
Develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and DOE constructs.
Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve required levels of product reliability.
Complete risk analysis studies of new designs and processes.
Compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics; investigate relevant variables affecting product and processes.
Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
Analyze preliminary plans and develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer, and governmental agency reliability objectives.
Propose design or formulation changes to improve system and/or process reliability.
Determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, specifying minimum sample size for statistically valid data.
Professional Knowledge & Experience Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Target experience: 1–3 years.
Career Stream Specialist (individual contributor) with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. May act as mentor to colleagues or direct work of lower-level professionals. Majority of time spent delivering and overseeing projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies.
