About Us: Our organization is home to three mission-driven divisions that work together to strengthen St. Louis in meaningful, lasting ways:
VP Saint Louis
– cultivating leadership, connection, and belonging through programs and events that bring people together.
Celebrate Saint Louis
– leading a region-wide celebration in 2026 to honor America’s 250th birthday, culminating in a free, three-day festival beneath the Gateway Arch.
VP Community Impact Foundation (CIF)
– fueling local nonprofits that create lasting change for children, families, and neighborhoods across the metro area.
Together, these initiatives reflect who we are today: a civic-minded organization dedicated to progress, inclusion, and purpose.
The Role This is a new, hands‑on leadership position that combines membership growth and engagement for the c4 with fundraising and sponsorship sales for the c3. The Director will spend roughly 50% of time on each organization while actively looking for ways to turn members into donors and donors into members.
Key Responsibilities Membership – 501(c)(4)
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and renewal of civic‑leader members (aiming for 10–20% net growth over three years)
Plan membership events, service projects, and leadership programming
Manage membership database, dues invoicing, and renewal campaigns
Staff the Membership Committee and support the c4 Board
Raise money annually through major gifts, corporate sponsorships, event underwriting, and grants
Personally cultivate and solicit a portfolio of prospects and donors
Secure title and supporting sponsorships for signature events
Write or oversee grant proposals and reports
Staff the Development Committee and support the c3 Board
Cross-Organizational
Identify and activate overlap between membership and donor pools
Collaborate on joint communications, impact reporting, and programming
Represent both organizations in the community
What You Bring
5–8 years of combined experience in membership/association management, fundraising, sponsorship sales, or related fields
Demonstrated success personally closing gifts or memberships
Comfort and polish with senior‑level volunteers and corporate leaders
Existing relationships in the St. Louis philanthropic or civic community are a plus but not required
Experience with CRM systems
Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE or advanced degree welcomed
Compensation & Benefits Commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits include health/dental/vision, generous PTO, and hybrid work schedule.
