The Boeing Company is currently seeking a
Senior Industrial Security Specialist, COMSEC Custodian
to join the team in
El Segundo, CA . This position will support Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) and be responsible for supporting the Communications Security (COMSEC) efforts in Southern California.
Position Responsibilities
Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspections and other COMSEC related support and oversight functions.
Perform installation of secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate to deliver encryption device(s) and keying material to select IT specialists maintaining classified networks.
Maintain records and accountability of COMSEC materials sitewide.
Ensure COMSEC materials are properly received, hand‑receipted and transferred.
Acquire and issue materials to program personnel.
Conduct inventories per agency policy and report any discrepancy to government customer.
Courier classified information and obtain receipt for classified materials.
Enforce compliance with US Government COMSEC standards by team members by providing security education and training on operating procedures.
Ensure Automated Information Systems Security requirements related to COMSEC duties are in compliance.
Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use of related equipment.
Work in an open production environment, using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and basic tools, and observing production facility requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the last five years, or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last five years.
5+ years of experience working in government industry and/or in DoD, NSA or SCI COMSEC account management.
5+ years of experience in Industrial Security.
5+ years of experience working with COMSEC materials.
Current Communication Security (COMSEC) Training Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
Experience training peers in the use of COMSEC equipment and procedures.
KMI Schoolhouse training completion certificate.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience.
5+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers.
5+ years of experience as a primary COMSEC Custodian.
Experience troubleshooting COMSEC equipment.
