Job Summary The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales initiatives, driving revenue growth, and competitively positioning the hotel within the market. This role oversees direct sales efforts, account management, business development, and sales administration to ensure room revenue consistently meets or exceeds budget expectations.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales Leadership & Strategy Oversee and execute all sales activities with timely follow-through.

Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of hotel operations, including Guest Services and Reservations.

Ensure full compliance with all company sales policies, SOPs, and service standards.

Maintain strong market awareness to anticipate opportunities and develop proactive strategies.

Create, execute, and adjust strategic sales plans to achieve and surpass targeted revenue and room-night objectives across group, transient, and meeting space segments.

Business Development & Account Management Actively participate in all sales solicitation efforts, including initiating new business, prospecting, qualifying leads, following up, and converting inquiries for guest rooms and meeting space.

Lead engaging site inspections for corporate, group, and leisure clients, highlighting key features to drive bookings and maximize revenue.

Determine appropriate group and corporate rates; prepare customized proposals; negotiate contracts; service client accounts; and analyze lost business to improve conversion and overall revenue performance.

Monitor production of top accounts, analyze market trends, and take accountability for account performance.

Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and improve revenue penetration.

Operations & Administration Coordinate group, transient, and meeting room bookings to maximize profitability.

Partner with all operational departments to ensure seamless coordination and full participation in servicing sales accounts.

Prepare and deliver all required reports accurately and on time.

Attend weekly sales meetings and maintain familiarity with sales techniques focused on maximizing occupancy and ADR.

Review meeting planner evaluations and ensure prompt resolution of all issues.

Assist in preparing the annual revenue budget and contribute to the development of the annual Marketing Plan.

Plan and execute quarterly Key Result Areas (KRAs), including pre-planning, appointment setting, and sales calls.

Perform additional sales tasks and special projects as requested by management to enhance operational efficiency, elevate client satisfaction, and support overall revenue objectives.

Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

6+ years of progressive hotel sales experience;

OR

A 4-year degree and at least 3 years of related hotel sales experience in the Atlanta Airport market;

OR

A 2-year degree and at least 5 years of hotel sales experience, including 3+ years in the Atlanta Airport market.

Additional requirements: Valid state driver's license.

Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.

Preferred: Working knowledge of Delphi, Cvent/Lanyon, Hotel Planner, Choice Hotel system products.

Must be able to travel as required to conduct sales calls, attend meetings, and participate in business development activities.
